Outdoor Activities

Grotto our lady of lourdes Sudbury

Enjoy an outdoor walk throughout the trails at the Grotto our lady of lourdes, which span over 5 acres. Most of the trails overlook the beautiful Ramsey lake. “A full mile of walkways meander through Greek-style columns, a large fountain, flower gardens, benches, statues, and plaques ending up at the foot of the magnificent grotto.” This is an amazing place to take advantage of for the perfect backdrop in pictures.

Sudbury theatre centre 

The Sudbury theatre centre began in 1967 and has since flourished. They offer many shows yearly. These shows range from live adaptations to musicals and poems. The theatre also provides youth programs, summer theatre camps, March break and PA day camps, and many other great programs. “Sudbury Theatre Centre’s purpose is to entertain, educate, enlighten, engage and invigorate its audience through the creation and presentation of top-quality local, national and international professional theatrical productions.”

Nori gallery 

The Nori gallery was opened in early 2022 in Downtown Sudbury. It is a beautiful art gallery that displays a variety of different types of art forms. This gallery has something for everyone, every person is sure to see something they like. “My creative process is a fusion of traditional and innovative techniques, primarily using acrylic on canvas, augmented with motion graphics to create immersive experiences.” The Nori gallery also provides private art classes and public parties/paint socials.  

Sudbury arena 

The Sudbury arena is home to the Sudbury Wolves hockey team and the Sudbury Five basketball team. They play hockey and basketball games weekly. The Sudbury arena is constantly a hub for many concerts and shows throughout the year.

Business

Elm Place 

Elm Place is the only mall in downtown Sudbury. It was founded in 1970 and offers stores, restaurants, entertainment spaces, office spaces and government buildings which sprawls over 350,000 square feet. The most popular businesses are Market Place, Hart, Radisson Hotel and Convention Centre, World Gym and Imagine Cinemas. The Radisson Hotel and Conference centre is attached to Elm place, it offers clean, updated rooms, a large heated indoor pool, a massive conference centre and amazing dining. 

Downtown Sudbury has a huge amount of incredible shops and restaurants.
