Outdoor Activities

Lively ski hill is one of two ski hills located in Greater Sudbury. It has four runs, one ski list and 6 skiable acres. The runs vary from beginner to advanced. There is a beginner-friendly ski area as well. 

Lively golf club consists of acres of lush fairways where you can play a beautiful game of 18-hole golf. This golf course is a par 71 with 6059 acres. You can go for the day, purchase a membership, or join a league.

Recreation

The Anderson farm museum is located on over ten acres of land where you can walk around looking at all of the heritage. There are three buildings that you can enter and view; the original farmhouse built in 1914, the barn and the milkhouse. Today, the site has been developed to preserve the rich history of the surrounding community. Feel free to enjoy a family picnic on their vaste acreage as well.

Tom Davies Community centre/arena is the hub of indoor sports in Lively. Here, you can go public skating, parent and tot skating, hockey lessons, public swimming, parent and tot swimming, swimming lessons.

Business

Lively has a variation of stores, shops and businesses. You will be able to find a laundromat, car parts store, library, hair studio, etc. These include: Lively laundromat and carwash, Napa auto parts, Lively library and citizen service centre, Avenue hair studio, Courtney cuts hair – studio and barber shop, etc.

Schools

Lively offers three schools from three different school boards in Sudbury:

Lively District Secondary School, St.James catholic elementary school and École St.Paul.  Lively District Secondary School is a part of the Rainbow District School Board, St.James catholic elementary school is a part of the Sudbury Catholic School Board, and École St.Paul is a part of the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario. different school boards; Rainbow District School Board, Sudbury Catholic School Board and le Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario.
