Outdoor Activities

Minnow Lake is surrounded by greenery, lush forests and an incredible conservation area. Take your kids to the local conservation area for some boating, kayaking, canoeing and fishing. Feel like a hike? Enjoy a beautiful hike at the conservation area on Minnow Lake trail, or other incredible hikes located throughout Minnow lake, like Dorset blueberry mountain. Minnow Lake also has Moonlight Beach. Bring the whole family out to enjoy the sandy beach and clear fresh water. 

Moonlight beach is the perfect Sudbury beach to bring your friends and family. It  is located on the eastern shore of Ramsey Lake and offers over 700 ft of shoreline. It also offers park trails, leisure areas, free parking, a playground, and picnic benches. Lifeguards are on duty from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the summer months.

Recreation

Carmichael arena in Minnow lake has a great arena that hosts recreational hockey, ice skating and public skating . Carmichael arena also includes an outdoor rink for those who prefer the outdoors and an outdoor skate park for avid skateboarders.

Business

Minnow Lake has a variety of stores for everyone including; Marc and Cora’s convenience, Ministic craft co, Green north gardening services. Looking for a great place for homemade food? Head over to The Trough for some “extreme” food. If you’re in need of a place to stay overnight, Minnow lake has a cosy motel, Moonlight Inn and suites, which is located right in the centre of Minnow lake. It’s only a few minutes drive away from Moonlight beach and the new sudbury centre.
