Outdoor Activities

The Ramsey lake skating path is open during the winter months. This skating path is about 1.5 km long and extends from the Sudbury Rowing and Canoe Club all the way to behind Science North. There are heated areas where you can put on your skates at either end of the skate path. They do not provide skates.

Bring your family to Bell Park to take a walk on the 2 km boardwalk on the beautiful shores of Lake Ramsey, enjoy swimming and playing in the golden sand at the beach, on the playground or enjoying watersports like swimming, canoeing, and kayaking. Bell Park includes the Grace Hartman Amphitheatre, William Bell Gazebo, the Katherine Bell Gazebo, flowerbeds, children’s play structure, a supervised beach and washrooms (seasonal), as well as a monumental sculpture commemorating Sudbury’s mining heritage.
